Home Recording Studio Tips 101

Updated: Apr 20, 2020

Because of modern tech it is now possible to have a professional recording studio right in your home. Here's a list of gear that you will need to get started. Feel free to contact me if you need help!

1. Buy a Quality Computer

The computer is the center of all recording studios from startups to the pros. I suggest you start with a MacBook Pro because it has the processing ability to handle any software that you throw at it. Also, it allows you to have a portable studio setup!

2. DAW or Recording Software

I suggest Logic X by Apple because it has everything you need to produce music, record audio, mix, and master your music.

3. Audio Interface

It connects to the computer and allows you to plug in your mics, speakers, and instruments.

check out Focusrite, Universal Audio, or any digital mixer for a large band.

4. Studio Monitors and input cables

A must have for mixing no question about it.

5. Condenser Mic, Mic stand, and xlr cable

Condenser mics are standard for studio recording.
